Summary of the West Plains Community PFAS Survey

Survey Overview

The West Plains Water Coalition asked local residents to take a survey about PFAS—man-made chemicals that have been found in drinking water from wells in our area. The survey helped us understand what people know about PFAS, how concerned they are about their health, and what steps they’ve taken to stay safe. While many people are aware of the issue, most still use unfiltered well water, and only a few have talked to their doctor or gotten a blood test. This report shares what we learned and what we can do next to protect our families and improve water safety in the West Plains.
